This series was so bad I could not complete reading it. I LOVE Gay Wolf shifter books but not this stuff. This author usually writes much better than this. The men in this series are hardly men at all and the books go out of their way to beat this into your head. The Omega's in these stories are effeminate doing lots of sashaying about like drag queens on a runway. Even the ALPHA's in this story while buff \ muscular are nothing but overgrown ever so feminine tomboys.I actually tried to complete the second book where the omega is a frilly girl like man who wears shawls like an old lady. He runs a yoga studio and is a vegetarian. The ALPHA is a namby pamby marshmallow who I define as a man in name only. There is nothing even remotely masculine about the Wolf men of the Blackwater Pack. This series is downright depressing.Reading this garbage is like having a visit with the most politically woke, politically correct shifter pack imaginable. I love this author. There was a time this guy couldn't write a shifter series I did not LOVE AND THINK ABOUT WEEKS after reading them. This series is so bad I sincerely wish I had the means to burn out the brain cells holding the memories of book two. Book one was seriously bad but not too bad compared to book two. If this author is going into the politically woke gay world with his Wolf Shifter books I'll never bother with reading another.The story lines are all tired. There are no twists and turns to the adventures. There are all happy endings but, there is no excitement along the way. There are no new life paths explored. These books are dead when it comes to anything fresh and interesting. It's gotten to a point to where if you have read any of his series you have read the total sum of his work. The only thing new about this author is his work now seems politically woke vegetarian shifters eating veggie lasagna and tufu smoothie's. I mean there is no meat eating in book two. The Omega is a self absorbed prissy little feminine man who dominates this hapless hopeless poor excuse for an ALPHA!I had to stop reading this mess. The more I read this garbage the more depressed I got. Usually reading Wolf shifter books lift my spirits. Book two left me at a level of depression I have not known since high school. Book 2 of this series was so bad I had to put it down just to restore some joy in my life. I felt so bad for that poor ALPHA Shifter caught in the clutches of that superficial yoga worm I just could not go on reading this. I've never ever deleted a Gay Wolf book... till now. Do yourselves a favor skip BLACKWATER PACK you won't be missing anything of value at all! You should read 'Claiming my best friend' before reading any of these.4 separate stories, that are almost reiterations of the same. They are all sickeningly sweet Mpreg mating claims, with lots of porn, a male only cast, and just a hint of the previous story and the next.They almost feel like reading a mass-produced story-script, aiming for popular tags of the romance genre. If you look at the series titles you'll probably get what I mean.
